Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: February 28, 2026

1. Subscription-Based Service

The Optical Calculator is a subscription-based Software-as-a-Service platform. By subscribing, you authorize recurring billing in accordance with the plan selected at checkout.

All subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis, either monthly or annually depending on your selected plan.

2. No Refund Policy

All subscription payments are final and non-refundable.

By completing a subscription purchase, you acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to refunds, credits, or prorated reimbursements for:

  • Partial billing periods
  • Unused time
  • Downgrades during an active billing cycle
  • Failure to cancel before renewal
  • Prior billing periods

3. Discretionary Refunds

Notwithstanding the above, The Optical Calculator may, at its sole and absolute discretion, issue a full refund for the current billing month in which a written refund request is received.

Any discretionary refund:

  • Applies only to the current billing period
  • Does not apply to prior billing periods
  • Does not apply to future commitments
  • Does not create precedent
  • Does not establish any ongoing obligation

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to: support@theopticalcalculator.com

The Company's decision is final.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid billing period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing cycles
  • No refunds or prorated credits will be issued for the remaining portion of the billing period

If cancellation is not completed before the renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be billed for the next cycle.

5. Access After Cancellation

Access to The Optical Calculator continues through the end of the paid billing period.

Once the billing period expires:

  • Access to subscription features will terminate
  • The Company may suspend, archive, or delete account data in accordance with its Terms of Service

6. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

By subscribing to The Optical Calculator, you agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting support@theopticalcalculator.com to seek resolution.

Initiating a chargeback or fraudulent dispute may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account
  • Permanent restriction from future use
  • Recovery actions for fees, penalties, and administrative costs

The Company reserves the right to provide billing records, IP logs, login activity, usage history, and acceptance of Terms of Service to financial institutions in response to any dispute.
